I prefer to call them analogues, while others might say mock whatever. Many people who go vegan grew up eating meat but stopped because of the cruelty involved and the environmental degradation caused by meat production. Let's just say many vegans adopt their lifestyle for ethical reasons. Analogues such as veggie burgers and veggie sausage provide a similar taste and texture without the cruelty, not to mention less fat and cholesterol.|||Veganism is most certainly a word. I would call them vegetables with a meat-like texture.
